Wednesday Picks:
1) N.C. Central North at North Carolina (-23) FIRST HALF for 1 unit: Very difficult task here for UNCC as they travel to UNC for the first time in school history. While UNC is overall a young squad, they are far superior in this matchup. UNCC returns only 1 starter from a team that a year ago went 4-27. A new coach also takes over at the helm, so it is going to take some time for this team to gel and begin moving in the right direction, which will not happen as they face the Tar Heels. Look for UNC’s size and quickness to dominate this game from start to finish.
2) N.C. Central North at North Carolina (-47) FOR GAME FOR 1 unit
3) Robert Morris at Syracuse (-18) for 1 unit: RMU is a team that I will be looking at for a great part of the year. There should be several excellent spots to bet them against the number and straight up, but tonight is not that night. RMU is a solid team, but tonight they play without their best 3-point shooter Jimmy Langhurst, which is going to make scoring even that much more difficult for RMU. Add to that, from last year’s strong team, they lost their top scorer and top defender. If Syracuse matches the intensity they played with on Monday night then they easily win going away.
