My favorite time of the year is upon us, both as a fan and bettor. I absolutely love the college basketball season and tonight we tip things off with 4 NCAA games in the 2K SPORTS COACHES vs CANCER CLASSIC.
Alcorn State at Ohio State (-21) FIRST HALF for 1 unit You will never make a whole lot of money laying these kind of points in any sport, but sometimes you have to when one team is far superior than its opponent. The match-up here is really not even fair. Ohio State returns several starters and made, what I believe, to be a huge offensive change. They took their number one offensive player, Evan Turner, and moved him to point guard. This is a huge move that should create tough defensive matchups for opposing point guards. How many 6′-7″ point guards do you see even in the NBA? If he can distribute the ball and involve his teammates Ohio State will simply blowout team after team. Alcorn State lost its three top scorers from a squad that went 7-24 last year. Ohio State was the top defensive team in the Big 10 last year, which should make scoring for Alcorn nearly impossible. Laying the points here in the first and for the game.

Great call on that ohio game. I tried to do both bets but sportsbook didn’t have a 1st half line. Does that come up late or did they probably take it off because of the action

Most online sites have first half lines. Usually it is in a different spot though. I have an account with sportsbook and will look into the matter for you. There are several keys to betting early in the year college games and last night Ohio State was a very strong play.
On a side note, if you happened to check Akron State’s schedule you will notice they play their first seven or eight games on the road! There will be some great spots to bet against them if Vegas makes a line for their games.
